Gweike M-Series frequently asked questions¶
What software controls the M-Series?¶
Gweike currently provides a Windows mLaser download for the M-Series on its official documentation page. Use the installer and machine parameter file supplied for your serial number.
Does LightBurn work?¶
Not currently, according to LightBurn staff in April 2026. They had acquired a machine for investigation but gave no timeline. Read the dated LightBurn compatibility answer.
What gas do I need?¶
It depends on material and process: fiber cutting, CO₂ work, welding, and cleaning do not share one universal setup. Gas identity, purity, inlet range, regulator, and flow must be verified for the delivered source/head/process. See gas and regulator guide.
Which models does this cover?¶
The M2/M2 Pro/M2 Max/M2 Ultra and M3/M3 Pro/M3 Max/M3 Ultra, plus M800/M1200 source workflows where relevant. It deliberately excludes G2, G3, MCore, Cloud Pro/RF, and other Gweike machines. See model compatibility.
How do I focus the fiber or CO₂ head?¶
Do not borrow a physical gauge dimension or software focus value from another head. Fiber FTC/stand-off and process focus are configuration-specific; the CO₂ workflow uses the supplied focusing tool/ruler. See fiber and CO₂ focus.
Can I give this wiki to an AI assistant?¶
Yes. Point it to https://gweike-m-series.theyieldpoint.com/llms.txt or ai-index.json, give your exact model/source/head/mode and symptom, and ask it to cite a guide and state when you should stop. An AI answer does not override the delivered manuals or safety controls.
Is this an official Gweike manual?¶
No. It is an independent, original companion by The Yield Point. It paraphrases and reorganizes procedures, adds owner-focused diagnostics and safety boundaries, and links the official sources. It does not reproduce Gweike's PDF wording, screenshots, diagrams, or photos.
