¶ CO₂ optical-path alignment
This is a CO₂ beam job, not a fiber-head job. Do not fire the tube without circulating water. The official clip is the factory alignment of that path on the M-Series gantry.
¶ Before touching the path
- Switch mLaser to CO₂ mode so you are not about to fire fiber into a CO₂ setup.
- Chiller first: the official cutting manual requires the tube to be full of circulating water without bubbles.
- Extraction on. Covers on unless the documented alignment step says otherwise — and then only with emission at the alignment level the procedure calls for, never a cutting row.
¶ What the official video is showing
The walkthrough uses the aiming/alignment targets on the CO₂ path, then the focusing tool on the CO₂ head. After the video, check these on your machine:
- Each mirror/lens is seated; a fingerprint is a stop.
- The beam lands in the center of the next target before you continue.
- After alignment, import a CO₂ process row, simulate, and frame on scrap. A fiber
SS 2.0 N2row will not focus this head.
If a gentle push on the gantry walks the alignment, stop and call support. Do not keep cranking mounts while a cutting program is running.
