¶ Replace or reseat the FTC signal cable
Gweike's four-minute clip shows the signal-cable job, not a guaranteed cure for every FTC alarm. The linked FTC signal wire alarm report was still unresolved at the review date above. Check the cable and connectors; do not defeat height control.
¶ What the official video is showing
- Power the machine down and stop gas.
- Trace the external signal lead between the height controller and the cutting head.
- Reseat or replace that lead, keeping it free of the fiber, air hose, and pinch points on the gantry.
- Restore connectors fully; a half-clicked aviation plug will alarm again at one end of travel.
¶ Conservative owner sequence
- Record the exact alarm text and whether it happens at homing, calibration, or mid-cut.
- Inspect nozzle and ceramic first — a failed ceramic mimics a cable fault.
- With energy isolated, reseat only the documented external connectors. Look for oil, bent pins, and a jacket crushed in the cable chain.
- If the alarm follows gantry position, photograph the cable at that coordinate. Do not fold the lead tighter to “test” it.
- If reseating does not clear it, treat the official replace-cable video as the next supported mechanical step, then stop and send Gweike the evidence pack on the FTC alarm page.
Do not bridge the input, run in a fake “fixed height” mode, or copy another machine’s service password to silence the alarm.
